Clara S from Los Angeles was 33 years sober (and 83 years old) at the time of this speak in 2008 at the West Portland Group. We featured Clara once before on Feb 14th (2019) episode she was speaking at the singles in sobriety convention in 2002. Repost

With Speaker Potluck, just like in a real meeting you dont know what you are going to hear till you do. Yesterday I grabbed four 15 min speakers without listening to them in advance, then created the audio. As it turned out the 4 speakers I grabbed were all male, so I thought equal time is only fair.
These four speakers I only listened to long enough to see if they were female and so, Speaker Potluck #11

Ebby T is the man Bill W referred to as his sponsor, he is also the man that introduced Bill to the Oxford group, eventually leading to the formation of AA. Ebby had a tumultuous path in sobriety, regardless he remained a lifelong friend of Bill W. He tells some of the story about the formation of AA.
If you have any interest there is a pretty good book about him: "Ebby: The Man Who Sponsored Bill W." It is available HERE
He is followed by Icky S another early member of AA. This was recorded in Kansas City in 1960 and for an old recording its very good. I did make a couple of small edits, I pulled the volume way down on the applause because it was painfully harsh and cut the length of some it as well.

Dr. Paul O the author of the story Doctor, Alcoholic, Addict in the big book and Max O an Al-Anon member conduct this workshop conducted at an unknown event and time. The topic is Communication in Sober Relationships, Max opens the workshop by telling a bit of her story, she is followed by Dr Paul doing the same and then the floor is open to Q & A.
