Tom Tuesday: Tom I and Sandy B - Primary Purpose History (2.5 Hours)

First thing, apology to those of you that expected to hear Tom Tuesday last week and it did not happen, that was a scheduling error on my part.

Tom and Sandy B are sharing the podium on the topic of AA Structure Primary Purpose History. No information about where or when this was recorded, you can expect me to say that a lot in this series. Couple of tech notes this ends abruptly but they were clearly wrapping up. The questions in the Q&A were hard to hear, I did manage to amplify them but they will sound a little hollow. 

Tom has long been a highly regarded speaker in AA. The podcast will be featuring  "Tom Tuesday" until we run through his library. 

 

Tom I became sober at the age of 28, attending an AA meeting in a maximum-security prison. He had been sentenced there after he killed two teenagers during a blackout. Upon his release he dedicated his life to carrying the message of recovery to other inmates. He was the first former prisoner hired to work within the prison system. His journey eventually took him from prisoner to warden. Tom was sober over 65 years at the time of his passing in 2022.

Workshop: Steps - Sponsorship (Chris R and Peter M) 7.5 Hours

Peter M and  Chris R lead this workshop with a focus on sponsorship at (I think) the RTR conference held in November of 2007. This runs about 7.5 hours. I know next to nothing about this event, both of these guys are very popular speakers and both have spoken all over the world at AA events.

ESH: Brooke - 15 Months

I try to be a week or more ahead when it comes to scheduling the episodes, that way if life gets in the way Im not worried about something for tomorrow. well this week life got in the way and Im adding this episode a few hours before it publishes.

That said as I was checking the podcast email right before I started working to get an episode uploaded up for you, and had a listener submission that was recorded just last week. 

I dont have a great deal of information about it other than this is Brooke, she has 15 months sober and is telling her story at a meeting called G2. 

I do also have a little request for you out there, it is a bit difficult to come across speaker meetings by folks that have 1-3 years sober and I would really like to feature more of them. Tom has long been a highly regarded speaker in AA. The podcast will be featuring  "Tom Tuesday" until we run through his library. 

 

Tom I became sober at the age of 28, attending an AA meeting in a maximum-security prison. He had been sentenced there after he killed two teenagers during a blackout. Upon his release he dedicated his life to carrying the message of recovery to other inmates. He was the first former prisoner hired to work within the prison system. Leslie J - Is he gay or just european? (LGBTQ)

Leslie J a very funny guy that carries a great message about learning to live the steps. "Is he gay or just european?" LGBTQ
