Lyle P is Native American and a bit of Irish, he was from Conyers Georgia and is speaking at an unknown meeting Damerham UK in June of 2009. One of his drunken escapades ended up being a global news event
AA International Update: All the conference reserved hotels are sold out, over 22,000 people have already registered. Efforts are being made to find additional hotel space, some room is still available in the university dorms (your best deal). I added a hotel zone map to the event listing with a link to a more detailed pdf. At the moment you would be LUCKY to find a hotel close to the venue for under $600 per night with most well above 1k. If you look an hour+ from downtown your still in the $3-400ish range, but not for long if you are thinking of going book sooner rather than later. Details: https://scast.us/intup

Lyle P sober in 1990 is speaking on the topic: Together We Can Alone We Cant. He spends a good chunk of time telling his story, but if you havent heard his story its one well worth a listen. It is one of those storys that gets you thinking, you did what? This was recorded at the Magical Mystery Tour zoom meeting in January of 2022.
If you are in the PNW toward the end of July I just added a Young Peoples Conference (WSCYPAA VII) taking place in Tacoma WA. If you have never been to a Young Peoples event (your age does not matter) the energy and passion of the participants never fails to impress. We have eight Native American speakers from the AA and Native Peoples event held at the 2015 AA International held in Georgia. Each speaker shares their story for about 25 min, this was held over 2 days and I have combined it into one episode just a bit under two and a half hours long so you get the entire event.

Clara S from Los Angeles was 33 years sober (and 83 years old) at the time of this speak in 2008 at the West Portland Group. We featured Clara once before on Feb 14th (2019) episode she was speaking at the singles in sobriety convention in 2002. Repost from April 2019.

Robyn W of Chicago IL he tells his story at the 2nd Annual Rochester Roundup held in New York in March of 1993, he has one of those stories that is remarkable in the stark difference of before and after, he makes quite an impression.
