Sober Cast: An (unofficial) Alcoholics Anonymous Podcast AA

Brenda J. sober 17 years, from Tampa FL. a recovering "lesbian - hispanic - catholic - alcholic - drug addict", speaking at the Womens Serenity Weekend Fall Conf. in Cocoa Beach FL. 2007.

This recording has popping sound going on, that if I removed it, made the sound way too muddled its noticable but not enough to make this unlistenable, and she is a wise, funny and humble woman with a speak that should be heard.

The locals used to call it maggots corner. 

Marty M author of the chapter - Women Suffer Too, sober in 1940, she is one of the first female members of AA and was the first lesbian member of AA. This is her last talk given in 1960, she passed away in 1980.

I had to do much processing to this audio file to remove heavy background noise, as a result the voice is much cleaner, however that type of processing makes the applause sound like a jet flying overhead, there were a couple of places the applause was sustained, I shortened those applause sections.

At about the 45 min mark the quality of the recording changes a, it is still very listenable but it almost sounds like the second half is a different recording there is a moment of repetition like it was a bad splice from tape... fyi

The first speaker is Heywood who got sober in 1966 followed by Gina B then Ron from Gerogia, and after that a few people from the floor.

John grew up in San Francisco, he has lived and worked in many countries, he is speaking in Leusden Netherlands at Experience Strength & Hope (08/16/2003). 

I really enjoyed this guys speak, he tends to jump around a bit when it comes to topics, I didnt care and fyi... the recording sounds slightly hollow.

AA has no opinion on outside issues, I have plenty of them.
