This is part four of a five part workshop led by Charlie P along with his wife Katie and also Chris R, they are presenting a workshop on Taking a Newcomer Through the Steps, from the perspective of doing it with a sense of urgency. They do some Q&A at the end of the session and the questions were impossible to hear, I have removed all the dead space and they do a very good job of repeating the question before answering.
This was recorded at the London Ontario Primary Purpose Group in Canada in 2014, someone had emailed me asking about a slightly later version of this workshop, that reminded me I had this on my list to use...so here it is.
The event itself is 8 recordings not 5, the first three are the speakers each telling their stories for about 40 min. I am going to combine those speaks into one episode and upload that the day after the actual workshop concludes, in reality the workshop opened with those.

Katie P got sober in 1984, she has spoken all over the world for many years, she is sharing on Steps 1-3 at the ABC Newcomers zoom meeting recorded just a couple of days ago in March of 2024.
If you are in the PNW toward the end of July I just added a Young Peoples Conference (WSCYPAA VII) taking place in Tacoma WA. If you have never been to a Young Peoples event (your age does not matter) the energy and passion of the participants never fails to impress. This one needs a little context, I know many of you are familiar with the Joe & Charlie Big Book Workshops (I recently posted one 2.7.24) in 2005 at a J & C workshop Willie B and John W went through the 12 steps in the same manor as Joe and Charlie but using the 12 x 12 as the reference.
Both workshops were presented side by side over the same weekend providing an in-depth look at the steps from both the Big Book and the 12 x 12 at the Boca Raton Florida Big Book Weekend held in 2005.
Willie B of Spring Texas got sober in 1957, she was 48 years sober at the time of this presentation about steps 10, 11 and 12. This is the last speak of the 9 part series, I do have the other 8, if you are interested in hearing them please drop me an email.

Update on the discussion survey from the last week, I was surprised by how many people responded (thank you for doing that) the vast majority were in favor of it, so I am going to move forward with it. It will be a private forum, that was in the lead by quite a bit followed by discord then a facebook group and all the rest after that. It surprised me a bit I was thinking it would be discord but it was a distant second. It will take me a couple of weeks to get it set up, forums have a million settings to tweak and Ill make it as private as I can. I will let you know as soon as its ready, again thank you.

I cleaned this audio up as best I could but there comes a point that removing any more of the background hiss and he starts sounding like a mouse talking. I got the majority out but there is a bit of hiss in this.
Sandy is the leader of this workshop covering the steps this part is steps 10-12, this is part 4 of a four part series where he goes through all 12 steps steps. For those of you unfamiliar with Sandy he was a hugely popular AA speaker, during his time.
