AA founder Bill W speaking at an unknown event in Des Moines Iowa in Nov of 1948. Many of the recordings of Bill are him speaking on a specific topic, this one is not, he simply tells his story and how it leads to the creation of AA. This is a great quality recording for 1948.

Bill W one of the co-founders of AA speaks about the Big Books history and creation. This consists of two seperate speaks, the first is at the 30th anniversary founders day in Akron.
The second speak may be from the same event but there is no way to know, the introduction of Bill the 2nd time does mention the 30th anniversary.
Repost from Oct of 2018, most of the recordings of Bill W are pretty bad quality and these 2 speaks are some of the clearest around.

Marty M was from NY and she was one of the first female members of AA she is speaking at the Greenfield Hill Group in 1979. She became sober in April of 1939, she wrote the story “Women Suffer Too” which is included in the Big Book.
